I have been using the Sonos IKEA Symfonisk Bookshelf Speaker for a week, here is the review.

First of all, I’m just a regular music lover, not an audiophile. Therefore my feelings about the sound quality could be very different from yours; you should go to the store and listen to it before making a purchase decision.

Look And Feel

The speaker has the look of a typical IKEA product: clean and elegant.

On the front, it has a removable weave-patterned cover, one LED indicator and three buttons: volume down, play/pause, and volume up. I haven’t quite used the three buttons; I always control it through my iPhone/Macbook.

On the back, it has a power slot and a network slot. Nothing special.

Setup

The speaker comes with a power cord and a network wire. The power cord should be always connected to the speaker since it doesn’t have a built-in battery. The network wire is optional, you use it to connect the speaker to your router if you don’t want to connect them through WiFi.
